The only one in Ukraine: Lorenzo Castriota will present a symphonic concert with Italian motifs

Lorenzo Castriota is a world-class conductor originally from Rome. The geography of his performances is more than a dozen countries, and is widely admired. Winner of the European Leader of the Rocca d’Oro Award for International Achievements as a Conductor, he has the prestigious Sebetia-Ter Cultural Award and has been awarded the Italian National Cultural Award. The maestro will give the only concert in Ukraine and it will take place in Khmelnitsky.

In addition, Lorenzo himself writes music. In particular, there are about 30 of his works performed publicly. Also, several CDs with world-renowned symphonies are in his works.

Together with the symphony orchestra they will perform 3 fundamental works. Symphonic Overture by Peter Tchaikovsky “Italian Capriccio”, OttoRino Respigio “Fountains of Rome”,

Mussorgsky’s Modesto “Pictures from the Exhibition” arranged by Maurice Rovel. The last two works, in particular, have never been played on this stage. The concert will take place on February 1 at 6:30 pm.

By the way, the Kolgofer Family Charitable Foundation is not the first to support classical art in Khmelnitsky. In particular, with their assistance in April, a competition for young talents “ProArt” -2019. Participants can take part in the age of 6 to 25 years, this season – in the piano class. The winners will have the opportunity to play a solo concert with the orchestra.

In addition, the already known festival jury will be guests from Austria, Italy and Spain. So, we expect.
