Opening of the concert season of the Khmelnytsky Regional Philharmonic

The concert of the Khmelnitsky Regional Philharmonic Society will be opened with the support of the Foundation for the Family of Kolgofer.

Soloist – YULIA VAN (violin, China-Germany-Ukraine)

 

Sun Xun, a native of China, a renowned conductor, received his undergraduate degree in music from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and Columbia University in New York. Since 2003, he has been invited to the position of Artistic Director and Conductor of the Southern Utah Symphony Orchestra, with whom he continues to undertake numerous creative initiatives. A variety of live shows, music premieres, CDs, touring are all the things that make Maestro’s creative life come to life today. His pedagogical work, notably as a professor at the University of Southern Utah, was also notable for his achievements. In 2015, Sun Xuin was named among 30 professionals in the field of American music, and in 2016 he was named the Best Teacher of the Year in Southern Utah.

 

Julia Wang was born in 1996 in Mariupol. She started playing the violin at the age of six. In 2007 she entered the Kiev specialized high school of music named after M.V. Lysenko (Lyudmila Ovcharenko class). From the age of 14 he studied at the Music Conservatory in Hanover (Germany) with Professor Krzysztof Wegrzyn. Julia Van is a laureate of international competitions in Italy, Ukraine, Russia, Bulgaria and Moldova. She took master classes with the famous violinist Ida Handel, as well as with maestro John Streets. Julia Wang became a Fellow of the Yehudi Menukhin Live Music Now Foundation in 2014. During her studies, she has performed frequently in concerts in cities of Ukraine, Germany, Spain, Italy, Russia, Poland, France and the Netherlands, including the Hanover Symphony Orchestra (Germany), the Graubünden Chamber Orchestra (Switzerland), and the National Symphony Orchestra Symphony Orchestra Ukraine under the direction of conductor Roman Kofman (Ukraine).
